Blackout Period for Matching Gifts:
The new year brings exciting changes for the Pella Rolscreen Foundation — it’s going paperless! All matching gifts and volunteerism will be administered through an intuitive and mobile-friendly online platform. In preparation for the February launch, a blackout period is required starting January 1, 2019.
For charitable donations made after December 31, 2018, do not send Matching Gifts request forms to the organization. Instead, keep your donation receipts. You will be able to upload these receipts and request a match on the Foundation portal at launch.
As a reminder, Matching Gifts forms for donations given prior to December 31, 2018, must be received by February 15, 2019, to be matched. See submittal process below.

Making life a little brighter one gift at a time
The Pella Rolscreen Foundation Matching Gift Program provides Pella Corporation team members a way to direct the resources of the Foundation towards projects and organizations that are important to them.
The Pella Rolscreen Foundation will match eligible gifts dollar-for-dollar from a minimum gift of $25 to a maximum of $5,000 annually per employee. Retirees’ maximum will be reduced to $1,000 the year after their retirement. Gifts may be cash or securities that have a quoted market value. Testamentary bequests, dues, subscriptions, fees, tuition, raffle tickets, insurance premiums, and pledges do not qualify. Smaller gifts cannot be combined to achieve the minimum level for eligibility. Gifts collected from various individuals and then grouped together as one gift from a qualified donor do not qualify.
Organization Eligibility (View Approved Organizations)
A recipient organization must be one of the following:
- a charity that qualifies as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS,
- a government entity, or
- a post-secondary educational institution.
Over 1,100 organizations are currently approved for matching gifts. Gifts to organizations not currently approved for matching gifts will be considered when this form and appropriate information are provided to the Foundation. Organizations ineligible for matching gifts include but are not limited to:
- Those that give less than 70% of their income to the purpose for which they exist
- International organizations that fund primarily outside the United States
- Political, religious, and denominational organizations, with the exception of approved House of Worship Building Projects
- Controversial, environmental, or legislative groups detrimental to Pella Corporation operation

Matching gifts are paid quarterly. Approved gifts receive by the end of March, June, September, and December will be paid during the following month.
For donations made on or before December 31, 2018, use the Matching Gift form, complete the Donor Section and mail it with your gift to the organization. The organization will complete the Recipient Section, supply any additional information, and return the form to the Foundation. For those that give online, complete the Donor Section, as well as organization name and address in the Recipient Section, and send to the Foundation Administrator along with proof of donation. Forms are due on or before February 15, 2019, to be matched.
All questions regarding interpretation, application, or administration of the provisions of this program will be determined by the Pella Rolscreen Foundation.
